Five Question Friday!

Oh yeah it's friday! Even though its Friday the 13th, which really doesn't bother me, I am so excited because my work is throwing me a going away fish fry tonight at my boss' house. Then I am having my last girls night out before school starts tomorrow night! This should be a great weekend! I have not participated in Five Question Friday in so long, so i'm excited to start up again!!

1. Have you ever visited another country?
Yes, Mexico! I went on a cruise in January of 08'. We visited Costa Mayo (however u spell it) and Cozumel! It was a blast and soooo beautiful!

2. Where is the strangest place you have ever been?
That is a really hard one! I wouldn't necessarily call this "strange", but back in 2005 my mom, sister, and me went on vacation to yellowstone national park with my grandparents. As we were traveling there, we stopped for the night in this tee tiny town in the middle of nowhere (I forgot what state it was in, Kansas maybe?). That town just rubbed me the wrong way! It seriously looked like one of those dead towns that had disease infested people that were going to kill you. The hotel we even stayed at was freaky. I did NOT like that place and I made sure we left FIRST thing that morning!

3. What is your favorite season?
I can't choose a "favorite" because I love them all in their own ways. I love summer because I love it being warm, but enough is enough! It's to darn humid in Arkansas this summer! I loovveee fall because I get to dress cute in my swearters and scarfs (i'm addicted to scarfs). And the only thing i love about winter is the snow and Christmas. I hate the cold. I love spring because it feels so nice to start having warm weather and pretty flowers after a cold season!

4. What one song will always cheer you up?
That Jack and Diane song. It's an oldie. But a good oldie!

5. What Disney character do you resemble most?
I would definitely say, Aerial off of The Little Mermaid! Because, I love the ocean! And I have a prince charming :).

Hallelujah it's Friday! This has been a busy week at work! And one of my favorite things about Friday is Five Question Friday! Head to Mama M's and check everyone out!


1. Do you know how to play a musical instrument?
I know how to play a rockin' air guitar! lol!

2. What is your pet peeve while driving?
Where should I start? I'm not going to lie, I have horrible road rage. I can't stand seeing little teenage girls runnin' their mouths or texting while driving. I can't stand when someone flies up behind me, trust me, i'll slam on my breaks in a heartbeat. I can't stand when people pull out in front of me and I have to slam on my breaks to miss them (you'll get a horn blown for that one!). And DO NOT drive in the left lane when your going 20 mph under the speed limit! Thats so annoying!...ok i'll stop now...on to the next question!

3. Would you rather have a housekeeper or unlimited spa services?
I do believe this is the hardest question i've ever had to answer! I lloovveee spas! But I also hate cleaning! But, I think i'll have to go with the unlimited spa services, because after i'm so tired from housecleaning, I can go get a massage!

4. Is there a song that you hear that will take you back to the moment, like a junior high or high school dance?
"Yeah" by Usher! It was prom. I remember gettin' down with my bad self and all of my friends to that song!! lol...good times!

5. What song best represents your life right now?
"Little White Church" by Little Big Town. Never heard of it? Then this song will be easier for you. "Single Ladies" by Beyonce. He just wont put a ring on it!

Five Question Friday

These past two weeks have been so busy with finals that I haven't got to participate in Five Question Friday. And I was totally bummed about it! But i'm back. Whoop! If you've never played, I would suggest go to Mama M's blog and check it out!


1. Do you have an iPhone and, if so, how do you get apps and what are your favorites?

I do not own an iPhone because my mom pays for my cell phone bill. And I dont' want her paying an extra $30 a month just for the iPhone. One day when I can afford it myself, i'll buy one.

2. What is your fondest memory of K-3rd grade?
Wow. Thats a hard one. I would have to say just making new friends and playing at playtime in these little houses that was in our classroom. We always played "house". lol it was pretty cute. I would also have to say, when I thought my bestfriend (shes my bestfriend today, not then) how to tie her shoes. Thats a great memory!

3. What makes you cringe at the thought of touching?
I hate digging old soggy food out of the kitchen drain. YUCK!!

4. If you could have any celebrity show up on your doorstep who would it be and why?
Jillian Michaels! I'm really trying to lose weight right now. I've been attending Zumba classes and watching what I eat and I could really use her to whip my butt into shape! So far I have lost 7 pounds in two weeks!

5. What would you say is your best physical feature?
I would used to say my eyes and smile. But since i've gained a lot of weight, my face has gotten all fat, so I dont feel like my face is as pretty. But i'm working on that!

Five Question Friday

It's Friday! This week has been a crazy one for me! I had a big Anatomy and Physiology Lab test, so hopefully I ace'd it!! My mom is coming in tonight from Alabama to help me finish up the house! I know i've told everyone like 10 times already that i'll have before and after pictures up of the house, but hopefully if we get everything done this weekend, i'll be able to take pictures and post them!! So keep a look out!!

1. What words do you use on your blog/online that you don't use in real life?

That would be lol. I mean when you talking with someone, do you really say "LOL". um, no.
I could totally see it, "Oh girl, you are so funny! You just make me LOL!" hahaha!!

2. Do you still write checks?
Every once in a while. I like to have them on hand just in case I need them. But i'm actually out of checks right now. But, I dont want to spend the money to get more. lol. But I like to have them though.

3. Who was your favorite President and why?
I don't think I have a favorite president. I'm not into politics that much so I really don't know much. But I did have to do a paper on Bill Clinton, and doing research, I found out A LOT about Bill Clinton. Yes, he is from the same state as me (Arkansas). And even though he got caught messing around with a 19 year old, he did a lot of great things for this country. Especially with the education system. So, I have to give him props for that!

4. Are you a yeller?
Do I have to admit this? Sadly, yes. I'm a loud person all together! When i'm just talking to someone, i'm yelling. lol. But when I do get upset or frustrated, I start to yell. Lance, on the other hand, does NOT yell and does not allow me to yell either. He will set me straight quick if I start yelling. lol. Which i'm glad because it has helped me a lot with my yelling.

5. Have you ever dumpster dived?
One time! I remember I was in Jr High. I accidently lost like 10 bucks in the garbage when i was throwing away my lunch. So I had to dig through the garbage that kids were throwing their leftover lunches in. Ew!!!

1. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

I think I would want Reese Witherspoon. She played so good in Sweet Home Alabama. Just love her. I think she could act out my life really good!
Oh- and did you know that Reese is actually playing The Pionner Woman's role in her new movie?! Yes The Pioneer Woman is getting a movie made about her!!!

2. Did you ever go to summer camp?
Nope. Just mission trips during the summer. I remember I went to Biloxi, MS after hurricane Katrina hit. It was so sad. But we did a lot of work..and went home feeling great about our mission!

3. What sends you running and screaming in the other direction?
SNAKES!!! i'm getting chills just thinking about it. I will DEFINTELY run and scream the other direction if I see one!

4. What is something you do that drives your spouse nuts?
Well I dont have a spouse, but what drives my boyfriend, Lance, nuts is probably... getting makeup powder all over the sink. lol. I use loose powder and it always falls all over the sink. But when he shaves and gets nasty hair all over the sink, drives me nuts! So we're even. lol
5. What is currently your favorite song?
I think i'm going to have to go Rihanna - Rude Boy. It's not that pleasant of a song, but its so fun to dance to and just listen to. So I would defintely have to say that!

Five Question Friday

Wow, it seems like FOREVER since i've posted something! But you know, I hardly ever miss Five Question Friday ;). We are in our new house, but it is NOT finished. And it's really bugging me too. Lance still has his tools everywhere in the kitchen, the bathroom is not painted, caden's room is not finished, and the kitchen floor is not done. But our bedroom, and the living room are done! Lance is working on the house today, and hopefully i'll be able to get everything unpacked this weekend, so pictures of the house will be up soon! I hope! But for now, here is a little preview of our new "little country home"!

1. Do you sing out loud in the car when you're driving?

It depends on my mood that day! But most of the time, i'm singin as loud as i can. And even bustin' a couple of moves every now and then. Especially if a girlfriend is with me, then it's ALLL OVA' WITH! I pray for you if you ever see me and a friend going down the road.

2. What would you never be caught doing?
I'm going to skip this question, b/c i have no idea. lol

3. Will you go #2 in a public restroom?
Heck no! unless it was defintely an emergency, which sometimes I have, and there are a few times i've had to go #2 in walmart. I can't stand it. I feel all gross, plus I have this weird thing where I dont let anyone see me using #2! I like my privacy!

4. Have you ever broken a bone?
Nope :). I've bruised the bone in my knee, and spranged a few ankles. But never have broken a bone. And I hope I never have to either! My sister on the other hand is different. When she was six (yes age six) my dad was trying to teach her how to do a back flip off the swing set and she fell and broke her elbow. The doctors thought her arm would never grow again, but it did!!!

5. Do you prefer cooking or baking?
baking all the way! I love baking anything. I'm really trying to learn how to cook better, but I just enjoy baking! I mean, I even made the rainbow cake! And I had a blast doing it!!

Five Question Friday!

It's FUH-RIDAY!!! And i'm so excited, even though I had a pretty laid back week. I was going to have a HUGE test this week, but my teacher post-poned it until after spring break! whoo hoo! Lance and I are STILL working on the house! but we are almost in. We will go ahead and move in, even though our bathroom and kitchen floor aren't done..but thats okay. We can slowly work on that while we live there. Our bedroom is completely done. Which is very exciting because that was the room that needed the most work. We hope to be able to move into the house this weekend! I can't wait to show you guys the Before and After pictures. Yall are going to be amazed! Ok enough of my babbling. 1. Have you ever had a celeb sighting?
Umm... if celeb sighting means, have you ever seen or met a celeb then yeah. I have met oscar delahoya (sp?). I watched him in Biloxi, MS. I was in the balcony and me and my aunt ended up talking the security at the door to let us go down to the ring and get an autograph. lol. I've also met, a WHOLE lotta pro-fisherman. They are totally celebs to fishing-obssessed people that i know (cough*lance*cough). Thats all that I can remember.

OMG! i almost TOTALLY forgot! On my senior trip, we were at a club, and Ace from The Real World was there. Yes, I know he is like a producer for Girls Gone Wild, but I was star struck! The best part? He ended up coming back to our hotel room and hanging out!! It was so much fun. I even got to sit on his lap in our car while driving to the hotel room. I was smitten :*). It was alot of fun! And for proof, heres a pic!

2. What temperature do you keep your house?
Hot. lol! I get cold very easily. So in the winter, I had it around 70 degrees. This summer, I will barely turn my air on until Lance comes home. Plus, electricity is expensive!!
3. Do you notice dust at other peoples homes?
No, unless its horribly bad. Because dust in my home can get bad. Especially this new home we are about to move into, the dust is horrible! As soon as I dust, I turn right back around and it's dusty again! So if you know of any good cleaners that works good, please let me know!

4. What's the worst job you ever had?
I would say a sales clerk at a clothing store. Only because I worked on weekends because I had another job during the week. I was just exhausted by the weekend and needed a break. Plus, I had to work right when my sister was planning her wedding, so I had to miss her picking out her wedding dress and everything! It was a bummer! I was a lifeguard for a summer, and it sometimes got really hot and miserable, but I worked with a lot of my friends so we had a BLAST!

5. What is your most sentimental possession?
To be honest, I really don't have any. My mom has all the jewelry from my great-grandma and stuff. I know i'm getting my grandmothers 28 diamond ring when I get older. And my sister is getting my great-grandmothers ring. Another sentimental possession is all of our childhood pictures. They are always fun to go look back on!!

Five Question Friday!

Wow..friday already? I have been busy this week! School is going okay for me. Even though i'm sick of learning about the endocrine system and the heart. Ugh. BUT, lance and I are getting a day to relax and enjoy some time with friends tomorrow night at my best friend's 21st birthday! I'm so excited! We hardly ever get to hang out anymore since she moved 2 hours away from me. We are going to have a blast just hanging out with some friends, playing cards, and catching up on our lives. I think Lance and I deserve a break since we've been working on remodeling the house for 4 weeks! We are ALMOST finished with the house. We have completely remodeled our bedroom. We tore down the ceilings, and sheetrocked the ceiling and all the walls, put in a brand new window, painted, and new crown molding. Then we finished putting tin up on our kitchen ceiling (its going to have a country feel to it). Lance is still laying the plywood down on the kitchen floor. We have Caden's (if your new to my blog..Caden is Lance's little boy) new ceiling up in his room, but have not painted yet. And we still have to do a little remodeling in the bathroom. We are going to try to get in once we get the kitchen and caden's room done. Then we can gradually work on the bathroom as we have time.

1. How much time do you spend on the computer a day?
I'm not sure if I should answer that. hehe. Since i'm in school, I only work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday's. So that's really my only time to spend on the computer. If i'm really slow at work, then i'll get on facebook, blog, and check other blogs. But there are other days that I'm so busy at work, I dont get to get on the computer at all.

2. Will you pay for your children's college or raise them to pay for their own way?
Well I haven't gotten there in my life, so i'm not sure what will happen. I plan on helping pay for my children's college because I want them to go. My mom has helped me SO MUCH these past few years. She has paid some tuition, my books, etc. I have had to take out loans which is okay with me!

3. Have you ever been in a car accident?
Thankfully, no! Me and my mom hit a deer when i was younger and it made our car tilt a little bit. That was scary enough so I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be in an accident! I hope I never have to find out either!

4. What is your favorite book?
Does cosmo count? I'm not going to lie, I read WAY to many magazines! cosmo, better home and gardens, tabloids, etc. It's my addiction. I'm trying to stop though, hehe. I do love Lurlene McDaniel books! I haven't read one in a really long time though! If your a big book reader, I would highly suggest one of her books!

5. Do you make your bed everyday?
I have this weird thing with my bed. I don't have time in the mornings to make my bed, but I can't STAND getting into my bed at night with it being un-made. It's a pet peeve of mine. So I usually make my bed when I get home from work, or right before I climb into it at night. lol. The sheets has to be straighten and nice and neat. I'm a weirdo I know!

Five Question Friday

I'm so happy its friday! I need a relaxing weekend. It wont be so relaxing though. Lance and I have so much stuff to do on the new house! You guys are gonna die when you see what we have done to this house! We have pretty much ripped it inside out! We are completely re-doing out bedroom, cadens room, and the kitchen. And we are painting the bathroom. I can't wait for it to all be done so I can show yall before and after pictures! I'm also excited because it's Mama M's Five Question Friday! 1. Do you sing karaoke? If so, what is your go to song?

I have been in a karaoke bar before and watched people sing but never did. I was like 13. I'm not sure if I would have the guts to get up in front of a bunch of people and humiliate myself by trying to sing. I'm a horrible singer. But I think if it were a bunch of my girlfriends together, I would go for it!

2. What is your favorite coffee drink?
This is a toughy! I love my coffee w/ just one splenda packet and some french vanilla creamer...yum yum! Then i also like the frappe's from mcdonalds. Lance got me a frappe machine for Christmas and I love it!! You can make all kinds of frappes!

3. If you could choose your own name, what would it be?
Hm.. I'm not sure. I think I would stick to Kasey just because my mom named me that. But I love Ava. I think i'm going to end up naming my daughter that. It's just so pretty to me!

4. Were you ever bullied?
Jr. High was a bad time for me. Girls are evil in jr. high. Always talking about you behind your back, then friends to your face. I had a girl that constantly picked on me and talked so much crap to my best friend about me and tried taking her away. I FINALLY got the guts to stand up to her and she finally backed down. Then I had another girl that always acted like my friend in High School but she was always jealous of me that she even got my boyfriend to break up with me. When she sees me in my small town, she always tries to say hi and talk... i don't give her a time of day. haha.

5. How often do you eat fast food?
Alot. Shame Shame. I really have been trying to stop. My life is just so busy sometimes, I feel thats the quickest way to eat. I'm starting to read Jillian Michaels Winning by Losing, and she teaches you all kinds of stuff! So I hope that helps me learn how to shop for groceries and cook better!

Five Question Friday

It's Friday. A busy Friday for me. I've been busy at work. Then I've got to go buy condiments on my lunch break for our sunday school party tonight. Go to the party tonight, go home and pack for the weekend. Wrap my best friend's little girl's birthday gifts. Then hopefully sleep! Last but not least, I can't forget Five Question Friday! 1. What are you most afraid of?
Alot of things. Dying and leaving my family behind. Being unhappy my whole life. Being alone. Snakes. ugh, don't get me started on snakes. I've got a lot of fears, but I just try to put them in the back of my mind. Why stress over things that you can't change!

2. Do you use a flat iron or curling iron?
Flat iron! I used to have really short hair. But now that it has grown out some, i've been curling it with a curling iron and it's so cute! But I strighten my hair everyday. If you want to buy a good flat iron that will not torture your hair. Buy the Kyoski. I believe thats what its called. Of course it's a little pricey but totally worth every penny! My hair does not have one split end!!

3. Hands-free or phone to the ear?
phone to the ear. I dont think i could wear one of those bluetooth ear pieces either. but i like texting more than anything. :)
4. Do you have a matching bedroom set?
No. Maybe one day, but not right now. We have a light wood colored bed. And medium colored wood dressers. haha. You should see our nightstands. Lance built his (he's a construction worker), and he has drawers in his, and it's pretty high. Mine has no drawers, a completely different color, and a lot lower. They look so funny! Oh, and I have a black lamp, and he has a lamp that has ducks on it. We really should try to find some matching nightstands and lamps!

5. Do you believe in the paranormal?
umm..yes and no. I like hearing ghost stories, and of course walking in a dark house hearing creepy things, you start getting thoughts in your head. A town about 45 minutes away from my town, there is a long gravel road that has a story behind it for YEARS now! A man was walking on a railroad when he fell, and the train ran over him, and lost his head. So they way to see him is, you drive down the road until you get to a 4-way stop, you turn completely around so your facing back towards the same road you had driven on. You blink your lights 3 times and honk your horn 3 times and just wait. Then all the sudden far down the road, you start seeing a small blueish light. The light is the man lantern, he's supposed to be trying to find his head. The light sometimes starts getting bright, and side to side on the road. It even gets close to your car. It's SO fun to go!! I've been so many times that I couldn't count on my hands. The story has even been on the tv show Unsolved Mysteries. Til this day, they still don't know what that light is. Spooky huh!

Five Question Friday!

It's Five Question Friday! It's Five Question Friday! Woooo Hooo!!! *doing a dance* Today has not started off the best. My boss is in a pissy mood, i'm sick with allergies, and some other personal things that i'm having to think alot about. It's just draining. But thank goodness for Mama M's Five Question Friday! If you've never visited her blog, you should go! Shes so fun!

1. Would you ever vacation alone?

I always told myself, that the only time I would ever vacation alone would be to "find myself again". That sounds a little dorky, but hey it's true. But other than that reason, there's no way I would vacation alone! I need someone to talk to and have fun with! I'm actually wanting to plan a vacation with some friends for next winter! We're thinking bahamas, or alaskan cruise!

2. Do you go the speed limit?
Well yah! Don't we ALL go the speed limit. I go the speed limit WHEREVER i'm going. Ok. I'm lying. Big time. I don't EVER go the speed limit. Ever. Sorry. I have a lead foot. I'm called Miss Speedster. The horrible driver. I go 75 in a 55. Don't ever let your kids ride with me. If you know what's best for you. Don't you ride with me either. I'm awesome at talking my way out of speeding tickets though. Done it 3 times.

3. Why did you start blogging/following blogs?
Well, I didnt even know what blogging was until about a year ago. A friend of mine has a blog and I went to it and seen it was pretty neat. Then I seen she was following an awesome blog name My Charming Kids. So I clicked on that, and became hooked! I followed MckMama and some other people's for about 6 months until I decided to make my own blog. Even though i'm quite boring, but i'm trying!


4. Where do you shop for yourself?
Hm. I never shop for myself. The last thing I bought myself was a sweater from Victoria Secret and thats because I had a gift certificate for it. But when I do have money to blow, I love victoria secret, forever 21, express (even though i dont buy from there), aeropostale, and etsy stores. But i'm addicted to furniture shoppping! i could stay days in furniture stores! it's so weird. i love antique furniture, sorta like MckMama's whole house! yeah i know, gorgeous right?




5. What was the song that you danced your first dance with your spouse to at your wedding...or...what song would you like your first dance to be to?
Me and lance haven't decided what we will dance to in our wedding. I love "Then" by Brad Paisley. Such a sweet song. He loves OLD country songs. So we may go with one of them. Who knows! But we have decided we will elope! Just us two, on the beach or in the snowy mountains.

1. What is better, growing old with out money or dying young and wealthy?
Even though I love having money. I mean, you get stressed out when you have no money! You stress about not paying bills on time, etc. But money is not everything. And I feel that I have not lived my life yet. I still want to get married, have kids, have a career, etc. So, i'll have to say growing old with out money!

2. Who takes out the garbage at your house?
Ha. Well LANCE is SUPPOSED to. Well, he does take it out, but never on time. I believe thats a man's job! No woman should have to take out the trash!
3. Have you ever had the same dream many times?
Well of course you always have the dream of someone dying. Ugh, don't you hate those? I've also had the dream about saving peoples lives. I used to be a lifeguard, so I have dreams about saving drowning victims, or car wrecks and such! I guess I like being the hero! haha!

4. Can you play a musical instrument?
Does the air guitar count? haha! I would call myself musical challenged. I can't sing or play any instrument. I really wish I had a voice but I dont! But I bad to the bone on some air guitar!!!

5. If you owned your own store, what would you sell?
Hm, that's kind of a hard question. I've always wanted to own my own store. I believe it would be an etsy store, or a furniture store! I think it would be a mixture between etsy and antique store! Love Love Love stores like that. Ah, now I want to own a store. Darn.

Five Question Friday

It's finally five question friday! I've had a pretty crappy morning so far. Woke up with a sore throat and a migraine, so I called into work and told them i'd be a little late. I went back to sleep for a couple of hours. Then went to physical therapy and ended up spilling water on my lap on the way there, so it looked like i peep myself. Then realized aunt flo came for a visit too..sigh. Today has not been a good day but THANKFULLY, the fun Mama M has me in a better mood because of her wonderful five question friday! So if you haven't played along, go on over to her blog and join in.

1. Worst trouble you ever got into as a teenager?
um, I wasn't the most nicely behaved teenager if I can put it that way. I wasn't the worst either. I never went to jail, or ever did crack. But I did come home with massive hickies on my neck one time. It looked like someone litterally took a baseball to my neck. So that was pretty bad. I snuck out of the house a few times but never once did anything bad when we snuck out. It was just the thrill of sneaking out! That's pretty much it. Yeah, I wasn't the best, but I had to get it out of my system. lol.


2. Are you a morning person or a night person?
Defintely, without a doubt, a night person! I HATE HATE HATE mornings! ugh. I'm not looking forward to having kids. I usually dont go to sleep til about 11 because I just can't go to sleep.

3. Are you a one-handed or a two-handed Texter?
Two-handed. Because I have the long keyboard that flips out. And thats really hard to try to do one hand.

I'm not a huge pet person. But I do love my little dog very much. I couldnt have a bunch of cats running around, or dogs. But I would like a lab though. I love labs.

Five Question Friday!

I missed Five Question Friday last week, so i'm excited to be doing it today! I feel like I need to get on track on my blogging. When I miss a couple of days, I think my readers will get bored, and quit following me. So please dont stop reading, i'll get better! If you've never went over to Mama M's blog, go! 1. What's your "comfort food"?

Ice Cream! It's 14 degrees out today, and I can still eat ice cream (is ice cream one word or two?)! My favorite is chocolate of course..but i love chocolate and peanut butter, and other kinds. Lance thinks i'm SO weird because I put ice cream in a bowl, then poor milk on top of it and eat it like that. Its just like a milkshake but not mixed up! So that can't be TO weird, can it?
2. Do you send Thank You's (handwritten or email)?
I really never sent a lot of Thank You cards. Even for my graduation gifts, I didnt send any out. How bad am I? Lance's mom bought me some REALLY cute note cards and a "K" stamp that I stamp on them. So I sent one as a thank you card to a lady that let me use her as a reference for the radiology program, and also sent one to my work for the cute candy basket they sent me after surgery. But when I do Thank You's, it is by handwritten, seems more personal to me.


3. If you had to be trapped in a TV show for a month, which show would you choose?
The Bachelor, if I were single. Other than that, Friends! Love Love Love that show, even though its not on anymore.


4. What is your favorite online recipe site?
foodnetwork.com , bakerella.com , allrecipes.com , marthastewart.com , and one other that I completely forgot what it was!


5. If you had to choose: "Friends" or "Seinfeld"?
Oh wow, should I even answer this one?! Friend's is my all-time favorite tv show, EVER! I watched it every. single. day. and it never gets old. I have almost every season on dvd and I promise I could say every word that comes out of their mouths. Ok, now that i'm reading this, i'm thinking i'm a tad bit obsessed with Friends. I hope someone is in the same boat as me. lol.

Five Question Friday & Quick Post

I feel like i've been neglecting my blog, but this week has been CRAZY! i've been so busy at work, and decorating, and these are the last two weeks of school so finals are coming up! I found out I will be having surgery on my knee on December 18th. So I will be down a few days, but it's nice that I wont miss school since i'll be out. I've got like 10 minutes to finish this post up, so i'm gonna do Mama M's Five Question Friday!


1. Favorite gift you are GIVING this year?

I can't say it on here because my family reads this, but I really can't think of anything special. It's going to be a tight Christmas this year. But I think i'm going to make everyone cinnamon candy for everyone and put it in jars.

2. How many parties are you attending between now and Christmas?
I dont think any? lol. Maybe our sunday school class is going to have one, but that's it!

3. What is your favorite Christmas song?
I don't have a favorite, love alot of Christmas songs!!!

4. Who was your favorite elementary school teacher and why?
Mrs. West. She was awesome!! I fell off a bench at recess one day, and landed on my knee and couldn't walk, and she came down, picked me up, and carried me all the way up a hill and into the school's office. She was like 7 months pregnant. She was a great teacher! I also LOVED mrs. funderburg to!

5. If you had a choice to live in any other period of time (other than now) what era would you choose and why?
I would love to live in the era when adam and eve was born. First, because I could slap Eve for doing the stupid things she did, because now child birth sucks because of her. And I would love to learn how to survive by killing animals with hand made knives and get to see wooly mammoths! haha!

P.S. I'm headed to Little Rock for my town's State Championship! Yep, that's right! Monticello is going to State for the first time in 15 years!!!!! whoooo!!! I'm so excited! It's supposed to be 20 degrees and snowing, but i'm packing on layers so I can cheer for The Billies (it's a goat)!!!!! I hope we win!

Ahh Friday! So happy it's friday! It's been a crazy week for me. Between school, orthopedic surgeon, more school, MRI at the hospital, school again. Today was  a good day. I got up, went and go my MRI done, then HURRIED off to school to make up a test I missed due to the MRI. Thankfully I have a sweet teacher that let me make it up an hour late. Tonight i'm going to get my house cleaned so that I can put up my christmas tree tomorrow! I always wait til after Thanksgiving, but my mom is coming in from Alabama and I don't feel like messing with it when she's here. So tomorrow I have a free day, so i'm just going to do it then! 1. Are you a Black Friday shopper?
I've never gotten up early and went shopping, i'll wait til I have kids to do that. But i've been looking around and if I see anything on sale that I really want, i'll get up and go get it! I've been shopping for the last 2 months for Christmas!

2. What was your favorite childhood toy? (Think Easy Bake Oven, Cabbage Patch Kid, Shrinky Dinks, etc.)
This may not count, but probably outside. I was such a tomboy when I was little. I was outside every chance I got. We had a playhouse outside and I stayed in that 24/7! We had woods by our house, that I used to go "hiking" in. Haha! awww i miss those good ole' days.

3. Favorite Christmas movie?
The Grinch! haha. Love that movie.

4. What is the "must have" item on your Christmas list this year?
I really haven't thought about what I really want. I need some new Uggs. I have no boots to wear for winter. And I found this robe from Victoria Secrets that I fell IN LOVVVEEE with! It was amazing. So maybe someone will get that for me *hint hint* Lance *hint hint* :)

5. Do you go all out with decorations or do you keep it simple and classy?
I want to go all out with decorations, but I dont have the money to just go blow it. I get a lot of stuff from Lance's mom. Then if I find some stuff for cheap, i'll get it! I'm hoping to put Christmas lights up on the house this year. I can't wait to be able to go all out! I love decorating for holidays!

1. What is your favorite "eat" on Thanksgiving?

What kind of question is this!? I mean, it's Thanksgiving for pete's sake! How do you decide what really is your "favorite" food. I love absolutely EVERYTHING I eat on Thanksgiving. I seriously gain 10 lbs on Thanksgiving. I eat alllllll day long! I remember one year, my grandma baked these delicious rolls. I ate those rolls all afternoon, my poor belly was so swollen because of all the yeast in my stomach. haha! But not this year! This year is Hot and Healthy Thru The Holidays...and i'm stickin' to it! Oh, and I also love Cherry Pie...MMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

2. What is the name your best girl friend and the best trait about her or how you met (or heck, both!!)
Well I have 2 best friends, Whitney and Lindsey. But I could talk about both forever, so i'll just stick with Whitney. Me and Whit because best friends in 7th grade when her uncle married my cousin. (That's how we met). We "literally" lived together, every single weekend. And i'm not kidding about that. If I did not come home on friday, my mom knew I was at whit's, and Vise Versa. lol. The best trait about her is that she is SO laid back! And that we are just alike, but we don't argue. Me and Whit have had 1 arguement in our almost 10 year friendship. She knows everything in my life, and I know everything in hers. She is the bestest friend a girl could ask for! She just had her first baby back in Feb. and she's the most precious thing you'll ever meet. Ok i'm done now.


3. What would you say is one of your "weirdest" quirks?
I will have to go with Mama M on this one. My sheets! I CANNOT lay in my bed if it is not made. I MUST have the fitted sheet completely straight and pulled over. and i must have my flat sheet straight on my bed, then have my comforter completely straight over my bed. haha. Lance thinks i'm so weird with this. And I cannot go without my sheets washed for a week. I wash my sheets every weekend. Some people go 2-3 weeks and I just can't do that!

I would also say, that I can't stand people doing things around me when i'm brushing my teeth. It makes me sick if someone tries to come brush their teeth beside me. I will throw a FIT! lol. It's so weird but that's just me!


4. What is your favorite genre of music? (Hip hop? Classical? Rock? etc.)
Christian and Country. I love rap to. I know, it's trashy, but I love the beats and stuff. It's fun to dance to! I love old rock and roll.


5. Are you a Night Owl...or an Early Bird?
Night Owl for sure! I hate getting up early! I could stay up all night. I actually stayed up last night til 12 just doing homework. Then had to get up at 7:15.

1. What is your dream job?

Well it would have to be a talk show host! lol! Like Oprah or Tyra! I know so silly, but that would be so awesome! But there's a reason why i'm trying to get into radiology school. I want to go into the medical field.
2. What song could you play over and over?
I will probably be laughed at by this but it would be, Sinead O'Connor "Nothing Compares To You"! haha! My girlfriends and I used to sing this song to the top of our lungs riding backroads on a Saturday night! lol. It's such a fun song to listen to with your friends! If you've never heard of it, GO DOWNLOAD it!!! Sooooo good...and OLD! lol!


3. Do you prefer to talk on the phone or text (or email)?
Text. Just because i'm always in class or at work, so it's easier for me. I use my email 24/7 though. So that's a good way to get in touch with me!


4. What is your must have beauty product?
Ugh, such a hard question! probably my mascara. but i'm a huge moisturizer! Having my mascara on, feels like having my whole face on! lol. I have really long and thick eyelashes also, so thats nice :). I use moisturizer 2 times a day, so I couldnt live without that!


5. What is your favorite Michael Jackson song?
THRILLER! I love thriller because it reminds me of my highschool days when the pom squad and cheerleaders does the thriller dance every halloween. It is so cute! Oh, how i miss those days!

Five Question Friday

Today is Friday, so you know what that means! FIVE QUESTION FRIDAY! I have been sooooo tired today. My church is presenting the Heaven and Hell House last night til saturday night, and I stayed there til almost 12 last night. Heaven and Hell House is an amazing play that shows you what we think heaven and hell are like! It's amazing! we only do it every three years because it's so much time put into this. 1. What were you doing the last time you really had a good laugh?
At heaven and hell house. I was keeping kids in the nursery, and there was a little girl in there that was so spoiled, you were actually amazed at her. I've never seen anything like it. She kicked, threw things, screamed, cried, whined, everything you can think of. And we could NOT do anything to help her. We eventually was so shocked by this little girl that we just started laughing at her. I know thats horrible to say on my part, but I was just so amazed at how spoiled some kids are!
2. Who was your first CELEBRITY crush?
Oh gosh, probably Nick Lachey off of 98 degrees! haha! Then Justin Timberlake, and etc. hehe
3. What is one talent that you wish you had?
A beautiful voice! I wish I could sing so bad. I have the worst voice you've ever heard! I would love to be able to sing in the choir at church, but there's no way i'm doing that unless there's a miracle somehow!
4. How often do you and your spouse go out w/o the kids? Is it frequent enough?
Well since I don't have a spouse yet...me and my boyfriend get to go out whenever we want! But that's unlikely. I'm always studying. We go out every once and a while.
5. What colour(s) is your bedroom?
I'm renting a house, and my bedroom is this ugly blue-ish wallpaper w/ this grandma-ish flower border. I wish I could paint but the landlord won't let us. It's ok, it's actually a great house and I love it.

I've got a few minutes before I leave work, so i'm going to post Five Question Friday! I've been so busy today that I completely forgot about it! Head over to Mama M's blog to check her out!

1. Whats your favorite horror movie?

I'm not really sure! I dont really have a favorite? I haven't watched one in forever, even though I love them. I would say the Screams, or The Grudge!

2. Bath tub or Hot tub?

Bath tub. Only because I was listening to Dr. Oz the other day on my XM, and he said that syphilis(spell check?) can get transferred through hot tubs because they never get cleaned, and that totally freaked me out!

3. Do you prefer to view a movie at the theater or at home?

Both, if I REALLY want to see a movie at the theatre i'll go watch it, or if I want to go on a date. But I love renting from Red Box and watching them at home.

4. If you could chose a maid, cook or chauffeur, which one would you choose?

Maid! It seems that I have no time to clean anymore with school going on.

5. Electric Slide, Boot Scootin' Boogie, or the Macarena?

Macarena! reminds me of when I was little and used to dance to that all the time! haha!

P.S. i'm about to leave and go see my sis for her birthday. My mom is down so i'm very excited we all get to spend the weekend together! yay!
