Busy Life

So it's my 2nd week of school and I have two test this week! Whew! I'm enjoying it so much though! My radiology class is only 15 people and we all get along so well..well so far we do. It's like we are starting our own little family for the next two years. I have been studying so much lately and I dont see it slacking up anytime soon. But I actually like studying because it's interesting stuff and not the ole' boring stuff. I really want to keep my blog going, so I hope noone goes anywhere because I really do enjoy it, but school comes first so I have to make sure I take care of my schooling first.

So anyways, Saturday is my 21st birthday! Yay..i'm finally going to be 21! Wow..i'm getting old. lol.

I hope everyone has a great week!

First day of Radiology School!

Wheewwww what a day yesterday was! It was the first day of x-ray school and I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be. Actually, I wasn't nervous at all. We have 4 teachers. 3 in the classrooms, and 1 for clinicals. I am super excited about getting clincals started!! I start in the Emergency Room! Whoo!

Yesterday was definitely an overwhelming day with all the information and instructions but it was so exciting at the same time. They mostly reviewed over the school rules, radiology rules, HIPPA, and the hospital rules. Tomorrow is the first day that school will actually start. We had a senior come in and talk to us and he said these first 2 months of school was going to be alot to endure..so I hope to stay updated on here as much as I can through this first semester. I hope everyone that has started school is having a good week so far!!

Last Day

Today is my last day of work :(. I didnt think I would be so bummed, but I really am. I have been at this place for 3 1/2 years. They've seen me graduate highschool and start college. They've seen me grow up, dump boyfriends, get new ones, and learn from my mistakes. It's definitely hard leaving here but I know it's for the best. Everyone has been so good to me here and I will always appreciate that. I will for sure be coming back to visit often.

On another note: I am starting x-ray school monday! Ahhhhh!!!! I'm so excited but nervous at the same time! I can't wait to get the house finished up this week and get my study room fixed up! I am getting internet at my house sometime soon because I will need it for school but not sure exactly when. I am waiting til we get some kind of satellite internet in town so I can use that. I am going to try to stay updated on my blog at Lance's parents house. I will definitely let yall know how my first day goes!

Five Question Friday!

Oh yeah it's friday! Even though its Friday the 13th, which really doesn't bother me, I am so excited because my work is throwing me a going away fish fry tonight at my boss' house. Then I am having my last girls night out before school starts tomorrow night! This should be a great weekend! I have not participated in Five Question Friday in so long, so i'm excited to start up again!!

1. Have you ever visited another country?
Yes, Mexico! I went on a cruise in January of 08'. We visited Costa Mayo (however u spell it) and Cozumel! It was a blast and soooo beautiful!

2. Where is the strangest place you have ever been?
That is a really hard one! I wouldn't necessarily call this "strange", but back in 2005 my mom, sister, and me went on vacation to yellowstone national park with my grandparents. As we were traveling there, we stopped for the night in this tee tiny town in the middle of nowhere (I forgot what state it was in, Kansas maybe?). That town just rubbed me the wrong way! It seriously looked like one of those dead towns that had disease infested people that were going to kill you. The hotel we even stayed at was freaky. I did NOT like that place and I made sure we left FIRST thing that morning!

3. What is your favorite season?
I can't choose a "favorite" because I love them all in their own ways. I love summer because I love it being warm, but enough is enough! It's to darn humid in Arkansas this summer! I loovveee fall because I get to dress cute in my swearters and scarfs (i'm addicted to scarfs). And the only thing i love about winter is the snow and Christmas. I hate the cold. I love spring because it feels so nice to start having warm weather and pretty flowers after a cold season!

4. What one song will always cheer you up?
That Jack and Diane song. It's an oldie. But a good oldie!

5. What Disney character do you resemble most?
I would definitely say, Aerial off of The Little Mermaid! Because, I love the ocean! And I have a prince charming :).

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!

Vacation is Over

Well i'm back from Alabama and Georgia. I had soo much fun! The Georgia Aquarium is one of the most amazing things i've ever experienced. I was like a little kid in a candy store (not kidding). I love anything that deals with the ocean so I was all about going to the aquarium. It took us a good 4 hours to go through the entire thing and thats not with little kids with us. I would HIGHLY recommend going there. It was only $30 for the daily pass to! I would have paid $75 because it was so good. We shopped every day that we were there..and I found some amazing deals! If you are ever in Birmingham..I suggest going to The Summit outlet mall and eating at Chuy's. It's an amazing mexican restaurant that sit up on a hill. I have tons of pictures I want to share with everyone but my memory card from my camera doesn't fit in my computer at work. So I have to transfer them over to my laptop then put them on a memory stick. Here area few pictures from Hannah's facebook that I decided to grab. I'll post pics as soon as I can!

My Inspiration Board

I have gotten EXTREMELY addicted to design blogs. Everything from how to decorate, organize, and DIY projects blogs. They are so fun to read, and they have taught me so much stuff already. I love all of the DIY projects that you can do for so cheap! I have also learned when coming to decorating and throwing parties, it's really easy to make up an inspiration board of what you want your party to look like so you can go off that. My bestfriend Whitney's sister, Erica (also a very good friend of mine) is pregnant!! As soon as we found out she was going to have a baby, Whitney and I immediately started planning the baby shower. Erica will be finding out tomorrow what the sex is going to be. But since Whitney and I are in such a hurry to plan this shower, we have already came up with a theme that will fit either a boy or a girl! I got all of the pictures off design blogs to help create an inspiration board!

The theme is VINTAGE! Well actually it's called "nesting". I got almost my entire inspiration board pictuers off of http://www.pepperdesignblog.com/ . I absolutely love Morgan! The first time I took a look at her blog, I immediately was hooked. I would definitely go check her out. Here is my inspiration board:

We are going to try to do DIY as much as possible. As you can see in the pictures, there are lots of candles, plates, mason jars, picture frames that just lay around your house. So i thought this would be the perfect baby shower. I am also going to make some tissue paper pom poms to hang up above the cake table. and maybe use some for centerpieces.

I am so excited about this baby shower I can hardly stand it!! I'll be giving more details as we plan more. I just thought I would share the theme with everyone! Tell me what you think!!

Prayer Request

If you have already seen my older post about Annika, then you know she is a little 5 year old with Leukemia. She lives in my town and she is the most precious little girl! She has been doing really well these past few weeks, but this week is going to be extremely hard on her. She is starting a new chemo treatment today called the "Red Devil". Its so strong, most adults cant handle it. She has to take it for 4 days in a row. She will be staying at the Arkansas Childrens Hospital all week. If you feel led, will you say a prayer for Annika and her family?
